What Was I Thinking?!?!

It takes an hour to get out of the house already…

What will I do when there’s two?!?!
Having a little buyer’s remorse!

Seriously!
When I was in elementary school, I wanted 12 kids.
The boy down the street wanted 12, too.
I thought we were match made in heaven.

Then I grew up, went to college, got married and started teaching.

Took me 4 years of teaching before I was ready to “try” for a baby.
I knew deep down there wouldn’t be enough room in my heart for all my “kids”.
Turns out I was right… I left the classroom 4 years ago.
Hardest thing I’ve ever done!!

I want to go back soooooooo bad.
But seriously… what will I do when there’s 2?!?!?
Another set of laundry to do…
Another set of dishes to do…
Another bowl of cereal to fill…
Another carseat to put in my car…
Another back to rub at bedtime…
Another smile to fill my already too full heart!!

What was I thinking?!?!??!

Preschool Conferences …

Our preschool does conferences during naptime…
No way this would happen to us…
Besides the fact that Daddy can’t drink beer.

Really, I’m excited to be able to do Preschool all over again!

Mercedes will “graduate” from CFC CDC next spring.

It’s not fair!!

We’ve been there since she was 9 months old.

I knew from the moment I made the call to find a spot for her, that they were our school.

We took a tour to pacify Daddy.

I am now a PROUD substitute there!

And I’m SOOOOOOO excited that BooYah
allows us the blessing to stay there!!

BooYah’s Room

We spent Memorial Day weekend working on BooYah’s room!

Mercedes’ doesn’t want to move rooms …
Her words … “But how we move my stripes Mommy?”

So BooYah will get to have the “Mickey Room”.
Although it’s no long filled with Mickey stuff, but spots!

We are continuing the crayon theme …
https://thewilson3.wordpress.com/2008/10/08/baby-rices-room/
But chose to do dots instead of stripes for BooYah.

Jim and Cede painted the room white the week before.

I was so proud of my husband for letting Mercedes help him paint.

He gets a little territorial when it comes to projects.  🙂

But he was patient and let her paint a little.

She LOVED IT!!

We went on a circle hunt around the house to make our spot templates.

Draw circles on contact paper, cut out the middle, and stuck them on the wall.

Mercedes spent the weekend “helping Daddy”.

She was in charge of where the spots went and what color the spots were to painted.

She brought her toys in and “painted” many of them.

It was a weekend of Forced Family Bonding at it’s best!

Yes, Mommy even hung out up there a few times …
but sitting on the floor for too long makes prego legs fall asleep FAST.

It was fun!

And I think it turned out GREAT!!

The old bumpers that Aunt Niki sewed for Baby Rice will still work.

I’m going to go to the store and get some spotted fabric for the curtain.

We still have to set up the crib and arrange the furniture,
but really the hard part is done. 🙂

Yes, there are two “hidden” symbols in the room.

It was fun to include them!  🙂

Nothing like brainwashing your child from the beginning!!

BooYah Update

So we’re at 21 weeks and things are going GREAT!!

We were blessed to have had PLENTY of ultrasounds
to keep us happy and content for the first 12 weeks.

Since then, nothin’!

But Mommy has been sick and tired.
So this baby continues to show its presence,
even without an ultrasound!!

God is good!

We had our 20 week appointment last week…
NOPE, we did NOT find out if this baby will be a boy or girl…
We’re going to patiently wait until August!

We did get some new ultrasound pictures!!

So without further adieu…

Baby BooYah!!

Picture #2 is of a foot.  (The left one I believe)

And yes, that is a 3D picture at the bottom.
Our ultrasound tech had just learned how to do 3D pictures,
and practiced a little on us.
They normally don’t do 3D images this early because
there’s not enough fat to get good images…
BooYah is plenty chunky!
PRAISE GOD!!

So there’s your update!

It still amazes me the technology we have today
and what we can see!

Praise God for the minds who engineer our technology!

Praise God for the minds He molds into doctors
that help make DREAMS come true!!

Praise God for HIS miracle of life!
